3 cups water
1 cup lentils
one med onion chopped
3tbs olive oil
1 15oz can diced tomatoes undrained
1 6oz can tomato paste
1/2 cup ketchup
1 tsp mustard
1 tb chili powder
3 tb honey
1tb white vinegar
sea salt and fresh ground black pepper to taste
glutenfree hamburger buns or gf bread
rinse lentils and put in sauce pan with the water, bring to boil reduce heat cover and simmer for thirty minutes.
sautee chopped onion in frying pan, add rest of the ingredients bring to boil then reduce heat and simmer for fifteen minutes. stirr frequently. when lentils are done drain amd add to sauce serve over the buns or bread. also great topped with your fave shredded cheese or daiya cheese for you gfcfers!
